A 2015 458 Speciale running at Pickles out of Belmore, New South Wales, lot 827 of a luxury vehicle sale — Rosso Corsa DS 322 over Alcantara Nera, and 1,330 kilometres. Two things separate this lot from every other call in this log.

The odometer is not a claim

Every other thesis on this page contains the words indicated and not warranted, because that is all an advertisement ever supports. Here the Ferrari factory maintenance register runs to thirteen dated dealer entries: 140 km at the first service on 18 April 2016, 491 km in February 2018, 1,281 km in January 2020, 1,304 km in February 2022, and 1,324 km at the most recent service on 2 February 2026. The car was serviced every year for eleven years, including four years after the seven-year factory maintenance contract expired in May 2022, at intervals where the distance covered between visits was measured in single figures. The reading is evidenced, and this library has not been able to write that sentence before.

It is an Australian car, on paper

The factory record names Ferrari Sydney as the delivering dealer, market Australia. The 60-car local delivery estimate this entry is built on is exactly what that line describes, and the import penalty that has cut three other calls in this log does not apply.

The specification is every option the model scores

This entry recognises three: a racing stripe as delivered, carbon racing seats, and Scuderia shields. The build sheet carries all three — PNT4 NART livery stripe in Blu NART 523, RSCH carbon racing seats, and the fender shields — on top of a scored factory colour. Handing that to the valuer gives +17 per cent for 1,330 km against the 23,000 the model expects of a 2015 car, +3 per cent for the final year of build, +4 per cent colour, +27 per cent across the three options and +6 per cent condition. That is +57 per cent raw, and the model clamps it to +45. The adjusted figure is $1,305,000 and the cap binds by twelve points, which is the model declining to price a specification it has no transaction to price it from. Read the ceiling as the model's own admission, not as a valuation.

What it should hammer, and the call is $1,200,000

The discount against the worth is eight per cent and it is a mechanical one rather than a judgement about demand: a buyer's premium sits on top of the hammer, and the car is sold unregistered and as-is with no recourse, which every bidder prices. It is deliberately not the seventeen per cent this desk took off the 456 running the same week. That car has an evidentiary problem - it is a Hong Kong import and not one of the 31 Australian-delivered manuals its value is built on. This one has the opposite, with factory paper naming the delivering dealer, and it should not wear the same haircut.

The venue is not a discount

A general auction used to mean a thin room, and for a car like this it no longer does: Pickles indexes its lots online and runs dedicated luxury sales, and the Australian market for a delivery-mileage Australian-delivered Speciale is small enough to have found this one within a day of it listing. Nor is the model's own figure a ceiling to mark down from. The cap binds by twelve points here, which is the model reporting $1,305,000 as a floor rather than an estimate, and taking a discount off a floor would price the same caution twice.

What the comparables support

Run through the same valuer, the two dealer asks on this record price at 1.05 and 1.17 times their own model figures. At the mean of those multiples a realistic retail ask on this car is about $1,449,000, and $1,200,000 is eighty-three per cent of it. That sits just above the higher of the two asks, which is where a car with a tenth of their kilometres and a better option list belongs. Internationally the closest recent marker is an American car bid to US$599,953 in October 2025 without meeting reserve, which establishes a floor under the model abroad and says nothing about the top of a right-hand-drive market of sixty cars.

What could still put it under

The condition report carries four notes and one is not cosmetic: oil residue at the gearbox and oil pump, found at the February 2026 service and passed on as comment only. On this drivetrain that is either a weeping seal or a pump, the listing does not say which, and a bidder who cannot get an answer before the hammer will price the worse one. The other three are the sticky switchgear every car of this era gets, a light bonnet dent and minor chips — small on an ordinary car, less small on one whose whole premium is that nothing has been touched. The tyres are marked good on all four corners, but tread is not the question on eleven-year-old rubber; date is. No spare is fitted. None of that is worth more than about fifteen thousand dollars to put right, which is why it shapes the band rather than the call.

Why this one matters more than the number

This entry says NO AUSTRALIAN AUCTION RECORD in its evidence, repeats it in its risks, and carries a six-point liquidity penalty for it. It is the largest stated hole in the Ferrari section of this library and it has never been closable, because no Speciale has been sold publicly in this country. If this lot sells, that changes, and the entry gets rebuilt on a transaction instead of on research. The call is published before the hammer either way. Predicted hammer $1,080,000 to $1,320,000, midpoint $1,200,000.

Where this number came from

The call is a prediction of one hammer. The record behind it is the Australian evidence for the model as a whole, and it carries its own grade for how much of that evidence exists.
