Nissan R35 GT-R Premium, widebody, Japan import, called 24 Sep 2026.
Published on 24 Sep 2026, before the lot closed. It ended without a sale, so there is no hammer to grade it against. It was amended on 28 Sep 2026 and both versions are in the working below.
Amended 28 Sep 2026 from $76,000 to $81,000. The call of record is the original $76,000, because the amendment cannot be shown to have come before the lot closed. Both are in the working below.
A 2008 Nissan R35 GT-R Premium Edition running on Collecting Cars out of Willawong, Queensland — under a grey vinyl wrap over black leather and Alcantara with carbon trim, 49,342 kilometres indicated and not warranted, a Japan-delivered car complied here in July 2024, VIN 6ZZ80000R35001398, carrying a full aftermarket widebody with a carbon vented bonnet, splitter, canards, arch flares, carbon boot lid, large fixed wing, carbon diffuser and aftermarket taillights, on 20-inch Strasse wheels over gold Brembos, with HKS blow-off valves, intakes and a valve controller, adjustable suspension, one key and a stated tyre pressure issue.
On 18 August a 2008 import at 72,595 kilometres with a carbon bodykit, an exhaust and Rohana wheels made $80,000. On 12 September a 2008 import at 81,346 kilometres, wrapped with a widebody, canards, louvres and a retrimmed cabin, ENDED UNSOLD after reaching $76,500. Same year, same origin, same city, twenty days apart, and the heavier car is the one that did not clear.
Run the model instead and it returns $66,228, because it charges a twelve per cent import penalty and an eight per cent bodykit penalty against a base that describes an Australian-delivered standard car — while the actual comparables ARE imports with kits, and one of them made $80,000. Pricing this lot off that base charges it twice for being the thing its own comparables already are.
The August car made $80,000 at 72,595 kilometres. This one is at 49,342, which on this record's own curve is worth about seven per cent more, so an equal car lands near $85,800. This one carries the heavier kit of the two, which the September failure prices at more than eight per cent, so take eight: $78,900. One key on an import with no local dealer network takes the rest.
It sits $500 under the figure the Nunawading car could not clear six days after it failed to clear it. The difference between the two cars is 32,004 kilometres, and the whole call is the proposition that 32,000 kilometres is worth more than the room's objection to a widebody. Predicted hammer $58,500 to $96,500, midpoint $76,000.
A room that reads the kit before it reads the odometer. Three transformed R35s have now been in front of this market inside six weeks and only one of them found a buyer.
49,342 kilometres is the second-lowest distance on any R35 this record holds, a July 2024 compliance means the import work is done and paid for, and the wrap means the original paint is underneath.
The original took eight per cent off the August comparable for the heavier kit and stopped there. It missed that the August car was UNREGISTERED and this one complied in July 2024, which is the import work done and paid rather than a job waiting for the buyer.
$80,000 at 72,595 kilometres normalises to $75,518 at the 100,000 this record expects, and carried back to this lot's 49,342 kilometres is $85,758. Then minus 5 for the heavier kit rather than minus 8, because the August car carried a kit too and the penalty is the difference between them and not the whole of it; plus 4 for being registrable against a car that was not; minus 2 for one key; minus 2 for the HKS valve controller and intakes. That is $81,374.
Normalised to 100,000 kilometres the August import sits $75,518 against a median of $81,586 across sixteen counted sales. An import carrying a bodykit trades about seven per cent under a clean local car here, not the nineteen the twelve per cent import row and the eight per cent kit row charge between them. That finding belongs to the record and is written there. Predicted hammer $62,500 to $103,000, midpoint $81,000.
The call is a prediction of one hammer. The record behind it is the Australian evidence for the model as a whole, and it carries its own grade for how much of that evidence exists.
