The workingWritten 15 Aug 2026, unedited since

A 1999 V-Spec running on Collecting Cars out of Cairns — white, 166,659km indicated and not warranted, substantially modified with Power FC management, Tomei cams, Garrett 2860-7 turbochargers, a Nismo fuel system and a Gannador titanium exhaust. Priced against an independent $220,000 base for an ordinary standard V-Spec, built from four sources that exclude this lot, then carrying a 29.5 per cent adjustment down for kilometres and modification. Called at $155,100. A separate V-Spec called two days earlier, at a $279,440 midpoint, was withdrawn before it closed; the difference between the two figures is the library value being rebuilt in between, not two readings of the same car.

Where this number came from

The call is a prediction of one hammer. The record behind it is the Australian evidence for the model as a whole, and it carries its own grade for how much of that evidence exists.
