A 1994 RX-7 Series 6 running on Collecting Cars out of Chittaway Bay, New South Wales — red over black, complied October 2023 and registered February 2025, showing 26,734 kilometres indicated and not warranted, which on a fresh 1994 import with a replaced clutch is treated as unverified and earns no low-kilometre credit. The sequential twin-turbo system is gone: a single Garrett conversion with a V-mount intercooler and Apexi FC management, on a car this library prices return-to-original at $9,000. Fully resprayed, with missing dashboard pieces and cracked trim inside. Anchored to the verified Wollert Series 6 at $45,000 on this platform on 14 August rather than to the $65,000 carried value, which the entry itself holds under review, and placed under that comparable because this is the more compromised car.

Tested against nine Australian results on 26 August 2026, and the call stands at $40,000

Fitted against distance those nine return about $56,300 at this car's indicated 26,734 kilometres, and there is a closer comparable than any curve: $59,500 for a 25,543-kilometre Series 6 at Glenroy, Victoria on 9 July 2026 - 1,191 kilometres apart, seven weeks ago.

Anyone checking this call will find that car,

So the gap is stated rather than left to be discovered.

The $19,500 between them is not a disagreement with the market, it is four specific deductions

The odometer is unverified on a car complied October 2023 with a replaced clutch, so it earns no low-distance credit and cannot be compared to a car whose reading is trusted. The sequential twin-turbo system is gone - single Garrett, V-mount, Apexi FC - which this library prices at $9,000 to return to original, sixteen per cent of the fitted figure on its own. It is fully resprayed. And the interior has missing dashboard pieces and cracked trim.

The fit also argues for the deductions rather than against them

These nine cars correlate with distance at only MINUS 0.400, against minus 0.974 for the MR2 elsewhere in this library. On an FD, condition and originality explain most of the price and distance explains little - which is exactly why a compromised car at 26,734 kilometres does not fetch what a clean one does. The $60,000 result at 100,668 kilometres and the $30,000 result at 91,463 kilometres make the same point: double the money, 9,000 kilometres apart.

What would move it

Documentation verifying the reading, or the original twin-turbo hardware included in the sale. Either is worth five figures. Predicted hammer $36,000 to $44,000, midpoint $40,000. Closes on or about 27 August.

Where this number came from

The call is a prediction of one hammer. The record behind it is the Australian evidence for the model as a whole, and it carries its own grade for how much of that evidence exists.
